The Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr met with the officials in charge of the management of the Investors Services Center’s (ISC) different sectors in presence of GAFI’s Acting CEO Ms. Mona Zoebae, where Dr. Nasr noted that their mission was to develop and expand ISC, stressing the significance of providing technical training to ISC staff to enable them to provide the best services to investors, including the conveyance of details on incorporation procedures.
According to Dr. Nasr, their goal was to enhance the performance of employees, to adopt time management skills for the speedy accomplishment of tasks, noting that time was of essence for the Egyptian economy. She stated that the Draft Executive Regulations of the Investment Law detailed all the required procedures, to facilitate matters for investors, mentioning that the Executive Regulations were expected to be promulgated soon by the Prime Minister.
The Minister reiterated that it was essential to set up an office for businesswomen in Egypt at ISC, besides an office for Egyptian expatriates as had been agreed upon with the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Ambassador Nabila Makram, as it was part of MIIC’s role to facilitate matters for those wishing to invest in Egypt.
The Minister added that MIIC’s mission was to provide the best ISC, which represented Egypt before investors and foreign company representatives.
Dr. Nasr called on investors and company representatives to establish their companies online through “Incorporate Your Company by Yourself” service, launched by MIIC and GAFI on the latter’s website, noting that this service received the first two applications, one from Cairo and the other from Tenth of Ramadan City.
